Sharing that Kind Heart of Charice

Hello Chasters,

After reviewing the videos of the 17th birthday of Charice held the day after the David Foster & Friends concert at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on May 10, 2009, I noticed quite a few things about Charice as she graced the Chaster’s party for her. It showed me and confirmed what a lovely heart our Charice really has. Thanks to her heavy caliber supporters like M. Garfinkel whom I believe cares for Charice’s fans as much as he does for Charice. He was kind enough to hold and delay Charice’s exit from Mandalay so that she could say one last goodbye.

Despite the busy and hectic schedule of Charice (already running late) it didn’t take much to make her bless the gathering one last time with a song, even in acapela. I was delighted of course and noticed as in other occasions as well, that Charice is always ready to let a pleasant melody flow out of her even without accompaniment. Her heart it seems is always filled with a song ready to come out and just waiting to be shared as a blessing to whomever shall listen.

I believe that is one of the unseen qualities of Charice that makes her character so magnetizing and charismatic. She has a blessed heart full of love which is always ready to pour out compassion through a song. Notice how very easy it is to make her sing, any time, anywhere. This is one of the power cells that make this little girl, (despite her pint size) bigger than life and than most of the other popular entertainers today. I also believe that this is what Celine Dion was trying to describe about Charice when she first saw her and was introduced by Oprah in that “Dreams come true” edition, and where she invited Charice to sing a duet with her at the Madison Square Garden.

Charice’s magnificent talent and musical prowess mesmerizes audiences of a very wide range, young and old, male and female alike (and the in betweens), classical, pop, hip hop all the way to rock, races from the east, west and everything in the middle of the north and south poles of this planet.

Promoting and marketing Charice and her music shall depend on the marketing expertise of her professional management team, Warner Brothers and the producers of her music here in the US. They are undoubtedly veterans in their field and top notch managers and promoters who know their job like no other. But toward the end of this marketing line, it shall all boil down to the consumer, those who sometimes ruthlessly dominate the radio and control the channels and music coming out, the people who shall eventually enjoy and buy the music of Charice, meaning us. The buck shall eventually stop on us, who shall buy the cd’s, dvd’s, tapes, downloads and go to the concerts and all that. We as fans or Chasters, who know of and appreciate Charice’s music may play our roles passively and just purchase her music and concert tickets and sit back and watch how the professionals like the marketing managers and promoters of Charice shall go about their business. No sweat.

Or we may be more proactive and get involved in the little activities that slowly make the fan base of Charice grow. Definitely, we should avoid activities and confrontations that shall only bring scorn to Charice from the public eyes and of those who do not yet know her and have not heard of her. It would be counter productive to indulge in mudslinging and bickering amongst ourselves and other Charice fans from within and other websites. Whatever may come up and out of the efforts of other Chaster organizations including other websites, wouldn’t it be for Charice’s good if we just played along and supported them as well? But at the same time, wouldn’t it be nicer if we could also have our own creative efforts and activities that we initiate and see through toward this purpose of making the fan base of Charice grow even bigger?

Wouldn’t it be nice to show our appreciation for Charice by giving or contributing to this effort with a bit of our talents, however small or insignificant they may seem. It has been proven to work already in that birthday celebration of Charice at the Mandalay Bay hotel. This was initiated and organized by a small group of Chasters and followed through by Chasters which slowly grew before our very own eyes. The Chasters were able to come up with something like that and it is something to be proud of. We did it and we can do it again. We can gather our strength and get organized and come up with more things to help promote Charice. There are so many creative talents and professional skills amongst us and if we worked together, we can do monumental things.

One may ask now, is it worth it to get involved? Is Charice worth it? I believe that’s all up to you as an individual to answer. I know I believe Charice is worth it. With or without the recognition, compensation or reciprocation of whatever I may contribute, she has already blessed me and shared with me through her singing talent. I’m sure we all have something to share and contribute to this effort, if you believe Charice is worth supporting.

We have a mission here but it is not war. We would like to conquer the world by sharing this wonderful blessing in the person of Charice through her phenomenal talent. There is no time to waste and I sincerely hope all our efforts in this regard shall be focused on promoting and supporting Charice in whatever way we can. In closing therefore, I would respectfully ask you all to ask yourselves, “What have you done for Charice Today?”

To Maria Manalo (aka GM-admin) and all of you who have given so generously of yourselves to this cause and proven that we can make good things happen for Charice which that Mandalay Bay birthday celebration with Charice is the testimony and solid proof of, my sincerest thanks, recognition and admiration. I take my hat (nurse’s hat actually, haha) off to you all.
